This is a Statewide event. Applicants have to video themselves talking about, or doing, community service to show other students why, and how, they can help people. Videos will be posted our website.
UR Community Cares have prizes for all of our winners. First place holder will be awarded at a special event in the spring.
Deadline: May 28, 2021
• Video should include: Who you are, where are you from, which high school you attend, why you are unique or what makes you special. Lastly, show us how you are inspiring others to serve the community.
• Videos should be recorded horizontally, not vertically, of 3 minutes or less. Submit that video to following email:

• Student videos will be shared on our social media. Please download parental consent form from below link. A student can submit maximum 2 videos.

Aryan Kalia is a South Windsor, CT high school student who founded www.basicinitiatives.org as a result of COVID-19. He is an inspiration for all, a youth hero! Virtual community services and the importance of giving back is explained in his submission for our Youth Hero Contest. Go Aryan!
