So many people say to me, Wow, it’s exciting to see how much UR Community Cares has grown.
“I love meeting with families. I do one-on-one demo sessions to hear what people need, and I try to connect them with devices that will help them at home.
I also love going to senior centers to talk about UR Vision Resources. I give out directories filled with information and organizations that support people with disabilities.
This year I’ve traveled to Branford, Ansonia, Middlebury, Oxford, Dixwell, Atwater, Milford, Derby, Waterbury, and Guilford, with Wallingford coming up next week and Rocky Hill in November. I’m also speaking to low-vision support groups, so please contact me if you’d like a presentation.”

Thank you to the Windsor Lions Club for inviting me to speak with your members last night. It was a wonderful evening; I had the chance to demonstrate the Meta Ray-Ban Smart Glasses and walk everyone through a range of magnifiers and glasses that help people with visual impairments live more independently.
We’re thrilled to share that the Lions Low Vision Center will be tabling at our event Thursday, October 15th, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at CT State Community College Manchester. It’s called Move Beyond Sight, a Movement Challenge: we walk together for equality.
We would love for you to join us. We’ll have resource tables as well, so come ready to learn, connect, and be part of it.
