You Are Not Alone on the Journey
UR Community Cares is excited to introduce a new Connecticut Virtual Statewide Blind & Low Vision Support Group, created to bring people together from across Connecticut who are blind, experiencing vision loss, or supporting someone who is.
Facilitated by Michelle Puzzo, Executive Director
Meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month
5:00–6:30 PM
Virtual – Join from anywhere in Connecticut
Vision loss exists on a spectrum, and everyone’s journey is different. Whether someone is adjusting to a new diagnosis, living with significant vision loss, experiencing gradual vision changes, or caring for a loved one, vision loss can affect nearly every part of life, including independence and transportation, technology, relationships, work, recreation, and emotional well-being.
That is why connection matters.
This group is a place to:
-Meet and socialize with others who understand the experience of vision loss
-Share experiences, ideas, and practical solutions
-Learn about resources and services available throughout Connecticut
-Ask questions and learn from others who have navigated similar challenges
-Discover technology and tools that can support greater independence
-Support caregivers, family members, and loved ones
-Build a statewide community where people can connect, learn, and feel less alone
You don’t have to navigate vision loss by yourself.
Whether you are blind, losing your vision, living with low vision, a caregiver, family member, or someone who simply wants to connect with others and learn more, you are welcome.
