Senior Planet Expansion in Connecticut

We are honored to be featured as a Partner Highlight in the Senior Planet Newsletter this week
In this edition of the newsletter, please join us in recognizing UR Community Cares. Our first licensed partner in Connecticut since 2024, URCC helps bring high-quality technology education to older adults in communities across the state. As a result of this partnership with OATS, URCC has been able to teach in Manchester, Bethany, Vernon, Bloomfield, Farmington, and will soon begin offering classes in Cheshire, East Hartford, Waterbury, and Glastonbury.

This growth reflects a real community need, as many senior centers have limited staff capacity, schedule availability, or in-house technology expertise. URCC helps fill that gap by providing trained instructors who can deliver the Senior Planet curriculum at a pace that is appropriate and comfortable for older adults. Classes have been offered in senior centers, community centers, and congregate housing, expanding access to technology education in a variety of settings. URCC is also partnering with a local hospital to teach patients how to use MyChart, further supporting older adults in accessing important digital health tools!

Join us as we thank Michelle Puzzo, Donna Powell & Emily Richard for their hard work, dedication, and shared mission in bridging the digital gap through education. Thank you!
