Invitation to the New Britain Eye Health Fair
We are pleased to invite you to the New Britain Eye Health Fair on Tuesday, June 3rd, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
This event is designed to empower individuals with vision impairments by offering valuable information, access to resources, and opportunities to connect with supportive services aimed at improving eye health and overall well-being.
Whether you are living with cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, or blindness, or are a caregiver, this fair will provide helpful insights, access to community resources, and some great free giveaways. We hope to see you there!
We are honored to welcome Kristen Dockendorff, a distinguished blind artist, as the Honorary Speaker for the event. Her artwork will also be proudly showcased as part of the exhibition. A few of the 15 participating vendors and speakers include the Connecticut Library for Accessible Books, Vanda Pharmaceuticals (focused on Non-24-Hour Sleep-Wake Disorder), the South East CT Community Center of the Blind, and the Connecticut National Federation of the Blind, among others.
This event is proudly organized by UR Community Cares in collaboration with the New Britain Housing Authority and New Britain Recreation and Community Services, and is generously sponsored by EverCare of Connecticut Home Care and the Connecticut Tech Act Project.
EverCare of Connecticut Home Care has generously contributed to creating an Evergreen ambiance for the event. We invite you to visit and witness the transformation of the building. Additionally, we are collaborating with RiseUp for Arts to develop a beautiful outdoor community space for residents to enjoy year-round.
Please join us on the lawn at the Ribicoff Apt. Building, 67 Martin Luther King Drive, New Britain, CT. For more information, contact Michelle Puzzo at 860-430-4557 or info@urcommunitycares.org.
